The Games

We have a variety of table games that teach club kids valuable social skills in a fun environment.  The Games Room has billiards (pool), foosball, bumper pool, table hockey, box hockey, skee-ball and basketball shoot.

The Yard

Club kids love playing outside and we have a great yard to give them that opportunity.  Our yard includes a basketball court, where kids are often seen practicing their trick shots, or riding bikes.  We also have a large grassy area where kids can play relay games or team sports such as soccer, flag football and dodge ball.

Welcome to the Games Room, the HEART of the Club!

Programs in this area develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.

Nadzi-Tsa-Ga (Northern Paiute for "stick game") Lacrosse Club is a partnership between the Boys & Girls Club of Harney County and the Burns Paiute Tribe to establish the game of lacrosse (boys & girls) in rural eastern Oregon.

Members can sign up to attend a Lacrosse "open gym" practice at the armory January 11th & 25th and February 8th & 22nd from 1pm -3pm.  These four sessions are open to all boys and girls who might want to try their hand at lacrosse.  The open gym practices will be conducted by the JV Nadzi-Tsa-Ga players.  Interested members can sign up to be on either the youth or JV league at the front desk.  Permission slips and other required documents are required prior to joining the team.  For more information about our lacrosse program talk to Tyler or Ruby at the Club or for questions about becoming a member of the team contact Coach Rick Roy at 573-2711 or 589-1159.

Sport stacking (formerly known as cup stacking) is an individual and team activity played using plastic cups. It originated in the early 1980's at a southern California boys and girls' club and received national attention in 1990 on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. The sport was invented by Wayne Godinet. He shortly thereafter formed a group called Cupstack. Later he worked together with the physical education teacher Bob Fox. He was the man who invented all the formations and gave the name to the cycle stack. Early competitions were held in 1998 in Oceanside, California and Denver, Colorado.

Participants of sport stacking upstack and downstack cups in pre-determined sequences, competing against the clock or another player. Sequences are usually pyramids of three, six, or ten cups. Proponents of the sport say participants learn teamwork, cooperation, ambidexterity, and hand-eye coordination.

Tournaments are governed by the World Sport Stacking Association. In 2004, the WSSA changed the activity's name from cup stacking to sport stacking in an attempt to give it "immediate identification as a competitive sport."
